Amber deals in various aspects of Employment Law, including settlement agreements, grievances, disciplinary proceedings, drafting contracts and handbooks, redundancies, reoragnisations, discrimination claims and acting for both claimants and respondents in all types of Employment Tribunal Proceedings. Amber also assists the corporate team in relation to employment aspects of various corporate transactions.
Charlotte joined FBC Manby Bowdler in 2006. Charlotte qualified into the Commercial Litigation Department in March 2009 and now advises on all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular bias towards commercial and contractual disputes and contentious intellectual property, technology and media law disputes. She handles the Firm's Intellectual Property, Technology and Media Law Group's IP litigation at Associate level and also manages a portfolio of IT, software and development companies, most of whom have a national presence. She deals with the group's contentious defamation and media law work and is fast developing a specialist niche in that area. Charlotte is a key member of the group advising on trademark infringements which have a criminal aspect.
In addition Charlotte is one the Firm's lead advisors in respect of regulatory, business crime and motoring offences. She represents clients facing investigation or prosecution by regulatory bodies such as Councils, Fire Authorities, the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and others, and represents clients before the Magistrates Court.
Kam is a Partner with over 12 years' of experience including, company and commercial matters; acquisitions and disposals of companies and businesses; group reconstructing; shareholder matters; banking and commercial contracts. Kam also advises and acts for a broad range of organisations including owner managed businesses. Her main strength is in offering pro-active, commercial and solution focused advice which provides strategic direction for her clients. Kam has acted on numerous high value corporate acquisitions and disposals, as well as advising on refinancing and restructuring. Kam specialises in acting for clients operating in the financial services and health care sector.
David advises on all aspects of company and commercial law; from corporate transactions including the purchase, sale and reorganisations of companies, to non-transactional matters, particularly company secretarial work and drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
David is an established member of the Firm's Intellectual Property, Technology and Media Law Group, advising clients on a range of non-contentious intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on protection of IP through the registrations of trademarks. David also has experience in the working of copyright law, as well as design rights and patent.
Alison acts on investment companies, SME's, family businesses and trusts, Alison has broad experience of freehold and leasehold acquisitions as well as dealing with property aspects of corporate share and asset sales and purchases. Notable transactions include assisting with the largest application for Homes and Communities Agency funding outside of London to kick start a mixed use development, disposal and leaseback of a large industrial site for a European manufacturer and providing property support in the mutli-million pound acquisition of a pharmacy business.
