Thousands of businesses which have taken part in deliberate tax avoidance schemes can expect demands for payments this month, a tax law firm is warning. Winckworth Sherwood says HMRC will start to issue follower notices and accelerated payment notices to some 10,000 businesses it believes have taken part in the schemes, giving them just 90 days to settle demands.
