Police call for employment law change

Posted By: James

National police chiefs have called on the government to change employment law to allow them to force an increase in officer diversity in large towns and cities. Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe is pushing for a temporary change in the law to allow the Met to recruit minority officers in equal numbers to white males for a "set period of time" to reflect London's diverse population and ease racial tensions with the public.
