New employment rules on flexible working hamper jobs growth

The British Chambers of Commerce has warned that firms feel new flexible working rules and changes to paternity leave have created a big threat to job creation as they prove time-consuming and expensive to implement. “What we want to see is better engagement with businesses, to help to prevent unnecessary regulations in the first place and for the process to be simpler for firms when trying to implement regulations that are truly important," said BCC director general John Longworth.
