A tribunal has awarded PC Carol Howard £37,000 after Scotland Yard was found to have subjected the black officer to "vindictive…spiteful…insulting, malicious and oppressive" treatment. The Met was also found to have attempted to smear her name after the ruling in July and had removed evidence of racial and sexual discrimination from documents it submitted to panel hearing PC Howard's case.
