Phil Pepper, employment law partner at Shakespeares, examines work place relationships in the Times. One of the main risks for employers, who may choose to ban workplace relationships or have strict policies for them, is breach of confidentiality. He says a total ban can prove counterproductive and that in some cases a separate agreement can be put in place to minimise disruption. Mr Pepper goes on to offer tips for both employers and employees.
