Driving loophole closed

The Government is to close a loophole which allowed killer drivers to see out their driving bans whilst in prison. The loophole meant that drivers could get back behind the wheel as soon as they left jail. A Government source: “We want our roads to be safer. That means making sure criminals who've been jailed for serious driving offences shouldn't be able to just jump behind the wheel the moment they're released.”
